Hello and welcome!
I am Gianna Elms, LCSW, a mental health and expert consultant. I help adults with tele-therapy and on-site services experience peace and joy in their lives. Additionally, I train, supervise and consult with professionals and others on clinical matters, issues specific to domestic violence, disability rights and benefits, and more. I have been officially endorsed as of November 11, 2022, as “the best Forgiveness Therapy clinician in the country” for my work with treating and healing trauma, by the 2022 American Psychological Foundation Gold Medal Award Winner, Robert D. Enright, Ph.D., who is regarded as “the Father of Forgiveness Therapy” and who Time magazine named “the forgiveness trailblazer”.
I have an MSW in Social Work and have a valid license to practice as a Clinical Social Worker in Arizona and Missouri. I am also a registered clinical supervisor in Arizona. While completing my MSW in Social Work, I also completed specialized training in Forgiveness Therapy, and I am one of the top graduates to have completed the APA accredited certificate program. Previous to my MSW, I earned an M.Ed. in Educational and Counseling Psychology and a B.S. in Disability Studies and have a valid certification to practice and supervise as a Rehabilitation Counselor nationwide. After receiving my MSW, I completed a Post-Graduate Fellowship in Psychoanalytic Thought and an ADA Coordinator Certification. Most recently, I have also earned the designations of Clinically Certified Domestic Violence Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level 2, Certified Forensic Social Worker, Certified Storytelling Leader, and Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist. I am also Certified in Seizure First Aid.
My clinical experience includes crisis intervention, hostage negotiation, domestic violence, treatment of past abuse, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (PNES); evaluation and treatment of anger, mood, anxiety, alcohol and substance use disorders, migraine and chronic pain; career counseling, case management, advocacy, military and veterans, accommodations of people who experience disabilities, blindness (blind), visual impairments (low-vision), and deaf-blindness (deaf-blind). I also have experience training clinicians and others, and forensic expert witnessing and consulting in areas that I specialize.
And finally, the subconscious is the mechanism through which thought impulses which are repeated regularly with feeling and emotion are quickened, charged and changed into their physical equivalent. You may voluntarily plant in your subconscious mind any plan, thought or purpose which you desire.
